Importance of why African Americans need to read the Willie Lynch Letter and From The Curse of Willie Lynch to the New African American Generation
"The Willie Lynch Letter- The Making Of A Slave" was written on December 25, 1712, by Willie Lynch. Willie Lynch is teaching people who own slaves how to treat them. So basically how the master should treat the slave. Willie had said that the master should not trust the slave but, the slave should put trust into the master. In the letter, he is turning African Americans against each other. Like for example, The master must turn an old black male vs young black male, male vs female, dark skin slaves vs light skin slaves. How the master needs to have a white servant or overseer to distrust the slaves also. Willie Lynch goes more into detail besides turning Blacks against each other. Lynch had stated that the method that he provided will last at least 300 years that will be 2012. Basically, Lynch is being praised because the method actually works. The method was being past down for generation to generation because slavery was so-called ended in 1863 with the Emancipation Proclamation. Slavery has not ended even the Willie Lynch Letter still exists in modern society. His letter has an impact on the Black Community because of how America brainwashed the brainwashed black people. There a book called From "The Curse of Willie Lynch to the New African American " by James C. Rollins it breaks down how Willie Lynch has an impact on African Americans in today's word it will talk about step by step. From the Curse Of Willie Lynch to the New African American Generation. This is the link to the book so the readers can get a better understanding of what is going on. This link is the actual letter that Lynch written Willie Lynch Letter " Making of a Slave". When readers start to read both of the books and the letter it will make more sense to the readers. Some African Americans are not understanding we are actually divided because of a 4-page letter on how to make a slave. Society is using this on us still this day by skin color, age, intelligence, social class, hair, height, gender. African Americans are going against their own people just because of who are they are what they are. That is called being internalized racism that basically means a person of the same color being racist to a person that is the same color as he/she. Readers should take the time out a read the articles.
