Colorism: Black Complexion In America

Colorism is a form of discrimination or prejudice against individuals with darker or lighter skin tones of the same race. Throughout society, many Blacks have been discriminated against his/her skin color even if his/her is darker complex. Many people have heard the phrase.
“If you are not lighter than this brown paper bag. You can not become a member nor be accepted. Your pretty/handsome for a dark or light skin person.”  Many blacks have been called names by their own people because of their skin tone. It has gotten to the point that people will bleach their faces to be accepted by others.  In the media, blacks like Lil Kim, Sammy Sosa, Nicki Minaj, and others have bleached their face either because they did not like their skin tone or industry. To be honest, it is not just in the industry people face colorism. People everywhere are facing colorism throughout society.  From the beginning of slavery up to the present, Colorism has been a big deal in America. Americans had found a way to keep blacks divided by separating the darks from lights. They started by keeping light skin blacks as house slaves and dark skin blacks as field slaves. There is a book called “ How To Make A Slave.” by Willie Lynch talks about colorism and how to keep blacks divided from each other.  People never heard of the book and should read it. In the book, he talks about colorism, and he stated How the master needs to turn the dark skin slave against the light skin slave and vice versa. The book talks about blacks should be turned against each other because of the color of his/her skin. In society, blacks are doing what society wants us to do. Black even talks about how his/her school, family members, friends, and public places use to be bullied and could not do certain activities because of their skin tone.  This is an example: In the movie Antwan Fisher, When Antwan was a little boy, his foster mother, “ Ms.Tate,” used to abuse and mistreat Antwan because he was of a darker complexion. Ms. Tate uses to take the other foster kids that were lighter completed to church and other places and leave Antwan at the house with Ms.Tate’s daughter, who sexually abused Antwan Fisher. Their many stories made a child scrub their faces to make their skin lighter.
People could not even get jobs and build a career with their degree, especially if they wanted to become famous. In the ’90s, in the music and acting industry turning lighter and dark complexion people against each other was a big thing and still is until this day. Black could never understand that we are doing what society wants us to do, discriminate, and break each other down by our skin color. Black does not see that Black complexion is beautiful, and people do not need to be a lighter skin tone to be beautiful. I am not finished with this blog, but it will be continued.

False Teachers

Throughout years, people have heard of the saying " A wolf in sheep's clothing." People might have heard the saying reading the bible, listening to sermons, or even from people telling stories. One well know scriptures that people are aware of is Matthew 7:15 and it says  “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. False prophets are the type of people to use and manipulate others. They do this to others because false teachers are covetous people. Another word they will take from others like money because they are greedy people. False Teachers are not only just preacher they can also be any type of leaders. For a fact, there are seven types of false teachers people should be aware of.
The Heretic, Charlatan, Prophet, Abuser, Divider, Tickler, and Speculator. A heretic is a teacher who denies the doctrine of the Christian faith. and takes what God forbids and celebrates and will deny Jesus. The heretic is the most dangerous false teacher. The bible talks about the heretic on 2 Peter 2:1 and 2 Chronicles 11:4.  The Charlatan is a false teacher that only thinks his/her self and takes Christianity as an advantage to make money and take from other people. The Charlatan only cares about his/her self but is never satisfied. The bible talks about the Charlatan on Revelations 21:8 and 2 Chronicles 11:13-15. The Prophet is a false teacher who talks about the Revelation from God. He/she gets people to believe in the word in place of the bible. He/she will say that God gave him/her this word. The prophet will bring false words to the people. The bible talks about prophets on Mathew 7:15 and 1 John 4:1-6.  The Abuser is a false teacher who will feed into lust and sexual needs. He/She will abuse people like men women, and children to gain what he wants from people to gain a platform for his/her self. The bible talks about Abuser on 1 Timothy 1:10. The Divider is a false teacher who divides the church by telling people in the church that this person can not be trusted. He/she will turn members against church members in the church. The bible talks about the Divider on Romans 11:12-36. The tickler tries to become popular by listening to what the people have to say and wants.  He/she will give the word that the people in the church want to hear. The bible talks about the tickler on 2 Timothy 4:3. The speculator is a false teacher who likes to be heard. He.she will take Christianity and try to find codes and others of the gospel in the bible. The bible talks about the speculator on 1 Timothy 1:4. This will help many people identify what is a false teacher there are many other types of false teachers. Reading the scriptures will give people a better understanding of recognizing each false teachers.

Public School's Reduce and Free Lunches

During the year 1946, Richard B. Russell started the National School Lunch Program for public and non-profit schools. President Harry Truman had signed off on the law. The reason for the program is to provide low cost and free lunch for children In public schools around the United States, children are starving at school due to not having enough money to pay for their food. Many people are having questions on why should he/she have pay for their children’s food and the school is providing free education. Why should income matters? If education is free why not food? Questions need to be answered about why certain children can not get free lunch, because of parents’ income.  Parents and guardians want to know how can their kids pass their tests and function in class without having any food in his/her stomachs. The reason why public schools have children to pay for lunch is that when public schools offer free and reduced programs to see if the child can get free lunch. If the school has a high free and reduce the school will get taxpayer funding. People have questions and answers that need to be giving to the public. People are trying to figure parents can go to jail for not feeding nor taking care of their children. The children can be taken away.  If the school does the same to a child who does not have enough money or no money it is okay. They will blame the parents for not giving the child money. The school even has gotten as far as calling the foster system because the parent not giving money to the child. People are saying that does not make any sense at all. Cafeteria workers putting their job on the line to let children pass through with their trays to eat instead of making the child throw them away. When cafeteria workers do that they will get fired from their jobs. Three months ago Donald Trump made a proposal to have one million or more children taken off free lunch. So if parents that are on food stamps and it gets taking away from them. The child will have to start paying for food to eat in schools.  For a child to get free food in school the parent or guardian income has to between 130% to 185% of the poverty rate, receiving SNAP or TANF for reducing lunch for children. The free lunch supposed to be shutting down in March of 2022. Every child will be coming out of pocket to pay for lunch. The public schools can charge whatever they want to get food in the cafeteria. Food waste is always a problem in society, and the food could be donated to the less fortunate. A critical aspect of society is educating students about the importance of consuming all their food rather than throwing it away.
